We’ve got movie sign! The MST3K Live 30th Anniversary Tour is making a stop at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando in October.
Cult comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000, which ran during the ‘90s, celebrates 30 years of riffing on bad movies with a live show hitting stages around the country. And for the first time in 25 years, original host and show creator Joel Hodgson will be back in the red jumpsuit.
In the not-too-distant future, Hodgson, new host Jonah Ray and the Bots will bring new riffs, new terrible movies and new sketches to the stage. The tour consists of two separate shows, each with its own admission. Each show includes the full MST3K experience with cringe-worthy B-movies, hilarious riffing, snarky robots Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot and silly sketches.
For the first time ever, Ray and Hodgson will be riffing together to movies never before seen on either iteration of the cult classic show. The first show will be Canadian science fiction suburban nightmare The Brain, and the section show will be a “sword and sandal epic with a horrible monster” called Deathstalker.
The tour comes in the wake of a successful relaunch on Netflix in 2017 and the subsequent announcement by Netflix of a second season in “the not-too-distant future.”
The live shows are at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. October 20. Tickets start at $39.50 per show. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit Hard Rock Live Orlando.
