We all know that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were ousted from completing their work on ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story‘ and now that the trailer has dropped for ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ at least one of the directors is having fun with it. Specifically, Lord took to Twitter to share the trailer for the upcoming LEGO movie and throw some subtle shade at Lucasfilm at the same time!

Honestly, I think we can all agree that he was just poking fun at the situation he was in but it did put a smile on our faces! You can check what he said in the tweet below:

Hey look we made a space movie

Both Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been open and publically friendly towards Lucasfilm after being taken off the project, and this joke could be seen as the most outspoken they have been on the subject so far. While Lord did get a dig in, it was done as a joke. Humor seems to be central to Lord and Miller’s work. Apparently, central to their lives as well.

Do you like how Phil Lord has handled the situation after being let go from directing ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’? Did he strike the right balance between humor and annoyance here? Will this line of joking continue through all of the trailers for ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’? Share your thoughts below!

Around the same time he had also developed an unhealthy addiction to comic books that continues to this day!
