The epic saga “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will be screened at dusk on July 7 at Preisker Park, 300 Hidden Pines Way, in Santa Maria.
The 2017 science fiction movie follows the adventures of General Leia, played by Carrie Fisher, as she leads the Resistance away from the tyranny of the First Order. While their rising warrior Rey (Daisy Ridley) is attempting to gain training from the legendary Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
Movies in the Park, presented by the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department and People for Leisure And Youth Inc. (PLAY Inc.), are free and family-friendly. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, throw blankets and snacks. The movie begins around 8 p.m.
