Thugs Of Hindostan
Release date – November 7, 2018
Story – Thugs of Hindostan stars Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh. The movie, which is being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya is said to be based on the 1839 novel, Confessions Of A Thug written by Philip Meadows Taylor. The novel tells the story of a dangerous thug, Ameer Ali. It was a bestseller in 19th century in Britain.
Philip was an administrator working for the Nizam of Hyderabad in the 19th century. During this time, a strong cult of thugs took control in some parts of India. These thugs would befriend rich travellers and ultimately kill and rob them before burying them. British administration and the Indian royalty obviously had major problems with this cult. According to various estimates, these people had killed around 20 lakh people.
The British empire in India suppressed the thugs in the 1830s. The thugs were captured after Ameer Ali was arrested. His confessions led the British intelligence to make thousands of arrests and by 1870, the cult had become extinct in India.
Talking about Ameer, he is a Pathan whose parents are looted and killed by a gang of thugs. The thugs then raise him as one of their own. Aamir is said to be playing his role in the film. He is a very dark character, as Aamir recently said, “he would sell out his mother for anything”.
Ismail, a prominent high-ranking thug, is the man who adopts Ameer Ali after the boy’s parents are killed. Amitabh Bachchan will probably play the adoptive father, Ismail.

Story – Zero is gearing up for a release this Christmas. For the first time we will see Shah Rukh Khan as a dwarf. The film re-unites him with his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. We had EXCLUSIVELY revealed the plot of the film as a source told us, “With Zero having several elements of science fiction, the makers wanted to give it a befitting end. So you will see the climax of the film take place on Mars. While you might think this is very strange, there is actually a quite logical reason to why the climax will take place on Mars and you will come to know about it while watching the movie.”
It has been reported that Anushka will play a differently-abled person in the movie, while Katrina would be portraying the role of an actress. Tigmanshu Dhulia will be playing SRK’s father in the film, which is being directed by Aanand L Rai.
Rani Mukerji, Kajol, and SRK will be sharing screen space together after 19 long years in Zero. Juhi Chawla, late Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit also have cameos in the film. Take a look at the teaser that SRK unveiled on the first day of 2018, just to expect what we will see in the film:

Story – Janhvi Kapoor is making her big Bollywood debut with Dhadak, which also stars Ishaan Khatter as the male lead. The film, which is being directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, is a remake of Marathi blockbuster, Sairat. So the basic premise of Dhadak will be as same as Sairat, except the former is set in Rajasthan. As Shashank had revealed to PTI, “The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world, and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations.”
“My story is based on another set up… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts and style of a love story,” he further added.
Release date – December 28, 2018
Story – Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty are collaborating for the first time for a movie, which also stars Sara Ali Khan in the lead. Although Sara signed and shot Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath first, the film has been pushed to next year, which means Simmba will be her big Bollywood debut. It is being produced by Rohit and Karan Johar together. The film may be loosely based on Jr NTR-starrer Temper. As Rohit revealed, “We have bought the rights of Temper but our film is not exactly a remake. We wanted to take four-five scenes from Temper but we thought it’s better to buy the rights. It’s what we did with Singham.” The Singham franchise is the remake of Suriya-starrer Singam and has Ajay Devgn in the lead role.
